So, what is the truth about storm damaged roofs and insurance?
Short answer:
Long answer:
Major hail and wind storms have caused widespread damage to an enormous amount of roofs in the metro Atlanta area. We highly recommend that you contact us to inspect your roof and see if you have damage.
If your roof has sustained damage then you may be entitled to insurance proceeds to cover all cost to replace your roof above your deductible. Not all insurance companies have the same standards for assessing damage, and therefore it is important to work with a reliable, credible contractor that is trusted in the industry to insure that you maximize the potential to be covered. We will inspect your roof free of charge, show you the photos, and assist you with the claim process.
Insurance companies cannot single you out for a rate increase or cancellation due to claims such as these since they are considered an “Act of God.”

Depending on the size and velocity, hail can sometimes damage even the newer roofs.

Hail impacts remove granules from the face of the shingle. Sometimes a shingle can have an impact and the granules don't come off until the roof has gone through the heating and cooling of the summer days and nights. Asphalt shingles contract and expand with the heat. When the shingle is impacted and granules are removed then it's technically damaged. Eventually it can cause problems and that's why insurance companies replace them.
